Royal Brompton Hospital Nurses Station
C|S|M complete a range of different projects from a half day handyman in London to a full fit out up to £150,000.
Although it may appear as though we are only here for a leaky tap or to fit a whiteboard, we actually offer a much larger service, being able to complete tasks up to £150k.
We recently finished a project at The Royal Brompton Hospital, The Nurses Station.
It was a great project and the finishes speak for themselves. The project was designed by healthcare designers Boex, who supplied us with 3D visuals and detailed specification drawings to build the design.
The project involved all the works to transform the area into a Nurses Station and what a difference. The bright colours look sensational.
There was a great deal of work involved in this project as it was working in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
The project took 4 weeks to complete and came with it's own special set of circumstances due to the ward being live and it's special status.
The first step for us was to ensure the area was hoarded off and infection control was at a maximum. Once we had completed the hoarding, we could begin the strip out of the old nurses station, that had to be wrapped and carried out in bags to keep the risk of infection to a minimum.
Due to the sensitive nature of the unit, we had restricted working hours and were monitored very carefully in terms of infection control.
The works completed included: hoarding installation, strip out of existing nurses station, removal of old flooring, new flooring, installation of joinery made off site, 1st and 2nd fix electrics, wall cabinet fixing, deep clean, medical clean, hoarding removal.
